Nona Rogava
Project Manager
Nona Rogava is a Project Manager for SUNCASA Operations with IISD’s Economic Law and Policy team. She leads the SUNCASA Project’s procurement efforts in close collaboration with implementing partners, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and international procurement standards across all procurement-related processes.
With over 18 years of project management experience in both the non-profit and private sectors, Nona brings extensive expertise in procurement, grants management, capacity building, compliance, and process improvement. Her work is guided by a strong commitment to maximizing impact and ensuring the efficient use of resources.
Before joining IISD, Nona served as a Senior Project Manager at the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS). Her professional background also includes positions with the East-West Management Institute (EWMI), Casals & Associates, and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), as well as experience as an independent consultant.
Nona holds a master’s degree in International Development from American University in Washington, DC, and is certified in PRINCE2® Foundation in Project Management. She is fluent in English, Georgian, and Russian, and speaks intermediate Portuguese. She is based in Lisbon, Portugal.
